CAT HYGIENE
The rooms are cleaned daily. Every effort is made to avoid disturbing or frightening your cat while their space is being maintained. The litter boxes and their containers are cleaned and changed as often as necessary. They contain non-allergenic, fragrance-free litter. The food bowl is cleaned at least once a day and after each meal if the cat is fed wet food.
Between boarders, the room is cleaned and disinfected. All cushions and toys are machine washed. The litter box is emptied, cleaned, and disinfected.
FOOD FOR YOUR CAT
I am very committed to maintaining your cat's eating habits. That's why you must bring enough food for their stay. Plan on bringing two extra portions in case of unforeseen circumstances. Depending on whether you give them their daily ration of kibble or wet food all at once or several times, and fresh water, I will respect the schedule established at home.
For health reasons, please bring your pet's regular food. Never change the food just before boarding, as this can cause digestive problems. The food must be in an airtight container labeled with the pet's name, and of course, the bowls must be cleaned after each meal of wet food.
Our meals are served in a stainless steel bowl. However, if your cat is used to another type of bowl (slow-feed bowl, porcelain plate, etc.), please let us know and we will follow your instructions.
YOUR CAT'S HEALTH
Generally, for anything you do yourself at home for your cat's health, we are able to replace you and perform the same procedures. Following your instructions, we will give him ear drops, eye ointment, pills for his heart or other, subcutaneous injections for his diabetes, etc.
When booking, please clearly confirm the type of medication, injections, or procedures your cat requires. However, we do not offer intravenous injection services.
We recommend bringing several extra doses of each medication. In case your return date is delayed, we can continue treatments without interruption. We will return any unused medications to you when you pick up your cat. Of course, we will administer all medications successfully. However, your suggestions are greatly appreciated.
The nearest veterinary practices are located 4 minutes from the boarding house. This proximity allows for rapid intervention by practitioners in the event of a health problem arising during the vacation.
GOLDEN AGE CATS
At Les Petits Vacances, we offer special care to ensure the comfort of older cats. For older cats with limited mobility, we modify the space you choose to avoid jumps that are not suitable for older cats.
If your cat no longer likes to play and is now older, if he suffers from arthritis (yes... him too!) No problem, we will offer him periods of presence, lots of caresses, brushing and treats, just like you do so well at home.
We follow the owners' instructions, which guide us by providing a special geriatric diet, recommending more frequent meals, appropriate medications (injections for diabetic cats), more intensive supervision, or any other specific needs for your best friend in his golden years.
